Junior golf has come a long way at our club, and it’s something I’m incredibly proud of. When we introduced a structured playing program, we didn’t just see more juniors picking up a club—we saw a shift in the mindset around youth participation in the sport.
The Importance of a Structured Playing Program
Before our program, we had around 40 juniors. Since the implementation of a structured playing schedule, we’ve grown to over 100 members. It’s not just about numbers; it’s about providing a pathway for juniors to progress, have fun, and develop skills.
Fostering a Supportive Environment
The growth has also come from creating an environment where juniors feel supported and encouraged. We’ve seen increased engagement from families, as well as a greater sense of community. It’s not about pushing for perfection, but about helping juniors improve at their

own pace and celebrating the small wins along the way.
Looking Ahead: The Future of Junior Golf
I’m excited to see where this program can go. As we continue to provide opportunities for juniors to play, practice, and compete, I’m hopeful that we’ll keep growing the next generation of golfers. This is just the beginning!
